Finnboat's Jouko Huju elected president of ICOMIA
Jouko Huju, managing director of the Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat has been elected president of the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA), the international umbrella organisation for marine industry federations. The election took place at the organisation's annual general meeting held in Dubrovnik on 05.06.2004.
Membership of the London-based ICOMIA comprises national marine industry- and trade representative organisations world-wide.
The Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat is the central organisation for Finland's leisure-craft industry and trade. The organisation comprises 214 members whose combined turn-over represents over 90% of marine-industry trade in Finland and close to 100% of the industry's exports. The turnover for Finland's leisure-craft industry and related trading activities amounted to EUR 410 million in 2004.
