Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show, traffic arrangements on Saturday 19.8.
The Helsinki City Marathon will take place on Saturday 19.08.2006. The Marathon will give rise to alternative arrangements being made for traffic between 15.50 and 20.00 hours, during which time the Meripuistotie and Tallbergin puistotie roads will be closed to vehicular traffic.
We advise boat-show visitors to leave their cars in the centre of Helsinki and travel to the Boat-Afloat Show by bus which departs from the front of the Kiasma Museum of Modern Art every twenty minutes throughout the day. The bus is free-of-charge. Likewise, there is a return bus departing from Lauttasaari every twenty minutes. However, should you wish to travel to the boat show by car, we ask you to bear in mind that
- Tallbergin puistotie and Meripuistotie are wholly reserved for marathon runners and vehicular traffic will not be able to access these roads.
- The Lauttasaarentie and Särkiniementie roads will be traffic congested due to two lanes being reserved for the runners.
Drivers to and from Vattuniemi and the Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show will be re-routed via Särkiniementie by the detour Särkiniementie - Isokaari - Länsiväylä. At the Hanasaari junction drivers can change direction to access the Länsiväylä motorway. Seitenanfang
