FINNBOAT BOAT ACCESSORY OF THE YEAR CHOSEN FOR THE THIRD TIME
For the third year of the competition, products were not separated into categories but were included in the same class. The judges chose a short list of ten products from all entries. The short-listed products are on display at the south entrance to Vene 07 Båt. The panel of judges were made up of one sailboat manufacturer, one motorboat manufacturer, a journalist from the largest magazine in the field, and a representative from the most important marine industry authority.

True Heading AIS-CTRX Class B AIS Transponder
The True Heading AIS-CTRX Transponder is a standard accessory for boaters who utilise electronic charts and GPS devices. The chart shows the movement and direction of vessels in the area. Similarly, ships and other vessels that utilise AISI-technology can see the movement of your boat. The AIS Transponder significantly improves safety for boats especially when moving on the high seas. This is important in the Gulf of Finland where an average of 300 ships are in transit during any 24-hour period. When travelling in the region of the Baltic sea, the device's significance in terms of safety only grows. The device can be connected to existing electronic navigation systems and enormously improve their usefulness as safety equipment.

MagCode Power Connector
The 12-volt cigarette lighter power connector is probably the most universal power terminal and, parallel with the increase of numerous mobile electrical devices, has become common in boats. The MagCode connector is intended for similar applications, and yet more. It is a practical and truly dependable way to direct current especially in boats where jolting and corrosion are a constant bother.
