 | The Helsinki International Boat Show opens the boating season and shows the way
The Helsinki International Boat Show held in February each year is by far Finland's most comprehensive and most important preview of what's on offer for the coming boating season. The organiser of Vene Båt, as the event is known, is the Finnish Fair Corporation commisioned by the Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat ry.
The event fills all available halls in the Helsinki Fair Centre which typically displays close to 600 boats in seven halls. Each year, the boat show attracts about 70,000 visitors making it one of the largest exhibitions organised at the Helsinki Fair Centre. Marine engines and related equipment, accessories and components will also be on display. The show will also include numerous peripheral events and seminars.
Vene 23 Båt will be held 10 - 19 February 2023.
Uiva Flytande provides a stimulus for autumn sales
During its 42-year existence, the Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show has attracted a faithful circle of advocates, particularly in the trade of larger boats and autumn equipment. Since moving to the HSK Yacht Club marina twentytwo years ago, the number of visitors has increased almost year by year.
In 2022, a total of over 250 boats and 3 274 m2 of exhibition stands were seen by 12,131 enthusiasts. Finnboat members qualify for a 25% discount on rental space. The Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show is organised by Finnboat in co-operation with HSK.
Uiva 2023 Flytande will be held during the period 17 - 20 August 2023.
Participation at international boat shows
The development of export activities is the most important task of Finnboat and the Finnish Boating Industry Association. An export management group within the association annually determines the type of projects to be undertaken. Generally, the manufacturers jointly exhibit at international boat shows.
In addition to participation at exhibitions, common publications are produced, joint advertising takes place as well as enterprise-specific assistance in the preparation of export-oriented Internet web sites. Companies also participate in market research trips to various target countries. Top
