The number of visitors to the 2007 Helsinki Boat Afloat Show over 18,000
The number of visitors to the 2007 Helsinki Boat Afloat Show was again over 18,000. Boating activities of growing interest to more Finns than ever.
During four days of sunny weather, the Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show, organised for the tenth time at yacht club HSK, attracted 18,225 visitors. This year's show featured 304 boats and 144 exhibitors. The boat show is organised annually by the Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat.
Statistics for the first half of this year indicate that both boat sales and outboard engine sales continue to rise. Initial comments by both motorboat- and yacht traders and feedback from the show confirm that, in common with the practice in previous years, buyers are prepared to make their purchasing decisions in good time and quickly. Current marine industry forecasts indicate that 2007 will be the thirteenth consecutive year of growth in terms of sales.
The next important boating event in Finland is the Helsinki International Boat Show, which will be held from 8th to 17th of February, 2008.
The dates for the Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show 2008 are 21-24. August.
